New Direction
No, the title is not a Glee reference, sadly.
So I’m sat in Cafe Nero, in Worcester, looking like a poser on my laptop after my first week of self-employment….waiting for my mother.
Yep, I finally got fed up with being completely unappreciated and undervalued and quit my job. I’ve spent most of the week sliding between blissful relaxation, and jaw-clenching stress, which is perhaps a justified reaction to a) no longer having to care about all the rubbish that was being thrown my way to sort out because no one else could be bothered, and b) realising that it is now all on me to make a living.
Luckily I have contacts, and people that are willing to give me a go. It also helps that I have a lot of support from the people around me.
I’ve also got a couple of other projects in hand. For example, I’ve just had a meeting with a designer, who has just designed me a logo for a venture into on-line retail (namely, selling alternative style corsets and accessories), so we shall see how that goes. Unfortunately, the only way I can get started on this is dropshipping, as I don’t have the capital to invest in stock - but hopefully it’ll get there and will be extra income which is always good!
I have a few things to look forward to, fist and foremost being the Llama’s birthday shenanigans! I’m so excited about this, I don’t think I can even express it! Looking forward to a weekend of madness with the wifey.
After that, Reading Festival - tickets arrived the other day, and, as it STILL hasn’t sold out, I guess I’m going as i wont be able to sell the tickets. I should probably be more excited about this, but I mostly think the way the weather is going, it may be a total washout with horrible toilets :-( - ah well!
I suppose I should wrap this up, as my mother will be here soon, but I’ll post up some links as soon as websites are up and running!
Updates to follow.
